  Introduction

On behalf of Tavern Motor Club, Bristol, and the Royal Air Force Motor Sports Association, may I welcome you to the Regulations for THE FAT ALBERT STAGES 2008

This Event will be the 10th Anniversary for FAT ALBERT; each year we have strived to improve the quality of the Event, and implement lessons learned. The overall format and general friendly atmosphere of previous years will remain unchanged. We are proud of our successful 10th Anniversary status.

You can be sure that once again our established and experienced Organising Team will be working hard to provide another top quality Event in 2008.

Tavern Motor Club Organising Team will be working alongside the Royal Air Force Motor Sports Association to bring you 10 Stages, each with some 7 Miles of highly competitive action, using the MOD facilities at Keevil Airfield, just outside Trowbridge, in Wiltshire. With these 10 Stages we will be offering some 70 miles of rallying, in a very full, well-organised day. We hope the FAT ALBERT atmosphere will again be a friendly and enjoyable day out for you and your team.

The Stages will feature the fast and flowing open sections of Runway and Perimeter Roads, and also the very tight and narrow, but well loved ‘nadgery bit’, plus a challenging hairpin (known commonly as ‘Dingly Dell), to give both the smaller engine’d competitors and the bigger boys some good fun!

As an Anniversary Event, we anticipate that the Entry List allocation will fill up quickly, and I therefore urge you to complete and post your Entry Form at the earliest opportunity. Please help us to help you, the more information you provide on your Entry Form regarding your previous performance, the more likely we are to be able to seed you appropriately.

Welcome to The Fat Albert Stages website.

The technology used to build this site offers us the possibility of using many extra functions.  We have a Forum up and running that allows users, providing they have registered on the site to post on the Forum.   The technology is on this site to do online entries in the future.

We plan to do display live results on the web site again this year during the event.  Let's hope that the link is more reliable than last year as it kept dropping off line.

Keep watching the site as it will be developed.
